From
1905-1934 a total of 26 fascicles with 312 attractive colour-plates were
published. It was started by Johs. Müller and Otto Bissmann, followed by
Walther Poenicke, Herm. Rosenthal, Otto Schindler and others. Die aus der
letzteren Firma [G. Ebenhusen und A. Eckstein] hervorgegangene Anstalt von
Eckstein und Stähle hat dann im 20. Jahrhundert unsere neueste Pomologie mit
vorzüglichen Abbildungen ausgestattet, welche die bis dahin meist benutzten
von Wilh. Lauche weit hinter sich lassen (Nissen p. 219). Die wichtigste
und grösste Pomologie ist ein gemeinsames Prachtswerk von mehreren Pomologen:
