Auguste Faguet produced delicate botanical wood-engravings
of great accuracy for the works of Henri Ernest Baillon. For the
Dictionnaire de botanique, published from 1876-1892 in 34 fascicles,
he also made 32 fine chromolithographed plates, which came out with each
